Telephone number +35312544441 is being used as part of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam by someone claiming to be "John Murphy", from Allied Irish Banks and using the email addresses anytimecontactaib@gmail.com and anytimecontactaib@aib.ie. The telephone number is included in the following Advance Fee Fraud email that is being sent to victims:

We hereby inform you that Ulster Bank Ireland has operation has been cased from the 31st of April 2023, all the existing network of 63 branches has been closed It is a for good, ending a relationship with the Republic of Ireland that stretches back to the middle of the 19th century.

All the non-performing loans have already been sold, while its performing mortgages have been taken on by Allied Irish Bank (AIB).

We hereby to inform you that the management of Ulster bank Ireland bought €6.8 billion of loans from the NatWest Group, and agreed to take a 16.7 per cent stake in AIB as part of payment for them.

All of our tracker mortgages, less desirable to possible buyers, were bought by AIB. Deposit and current account holders, as well as business account holders and credit card holders, are advised to get in touch with our new banks and providers (AIB).

All our customers have already been transferred to AIB, while the remaining 63 will have closed their doors permanently from May 31st.

The email was sent from the email address "Ulster Bank Ireland <info.ulsterireland@gmail.com>", with the subject "Ulster Bank will shut down its entire branch network in the Republic of Ireland on Friday".

The domain aib.ie is the legitimate domain belonging to Allied Irish Bank. The scammer is hoping that the victim will reply to the gmail address, so that he will recieve the response.

The email is a classic example of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam with promises of a large sum of money being transferred to the victim. Anyone responding to it will be told that there is a fee/tax/insurance payment to be paid to receive the money. This will be followed by payment after payment until the victim runs out of money or realises that they are being scammed.
