Telephone number +16474931838 is being used as part of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam by someone claiming to be "John Edwards", from TD Canada Trust Bank and using the email address tdcanadatransfer@accountant.com. The telephone number is included in the following Advance Fee Fraud email that is being sent to victims:
Hello
Our new management together with Nigerian goverment are reviewing all outstanding payments due to our customers this beginning of 2nd quarter 2024 and we noticed that your Lottery/Inheritance/ contract payment plus intrest accrued of $7.5Million( Seven Million Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars) has been lingering.
We have resolved to pay you either through bank transfer or by ATM card whereby the card will be despatched to your address and you make periodic withdrawals or any other method preferable by you.Therefore you are required to send us the followings:

1) Direct Telephone/Whatsapp number
2) Your contact Address
3) Any form your identity(Either scan passport OR driver's license) or any kind of government approved Identity.
4) Your profession.

This is enable us start processing your payment for onward remmittance to your nominated bank account.Expecting your prompt response.

The email was sent from the email address ""info@tdcanadabank.com" <tdcanadatransfer@accountant.com>", with the subject "FROM TD CANADA TRUST BANK(URGENT)".

The email is a classic example of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam with promises of a large sum of money being transferred to the victim. Anyone responding to it will be told that there is a fee/tax/insurance payment to be paid to receive the money. This will be followed by payment after payment until the victim runs out of money or realises that they are being scammed.
