Telephone number +12016238640 is being used as part of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam by someone claiming to be "Paul Adams", from Barclays Bank and using the email address bbank2724@gmail.com. The telephone number is included in the following Advance Fee Fraud email that is being sent to victims:
I,m director from Barclays Bank ,
am texting you to inform you about
an online banking, we want to open in your favor ,
your information was brought to us by your state
government about your re compassion funds and your 4.5million usa dollars
will be deposited into an online Bank account we will open for you
48minutes you reply to this email
and reconfirm.
your full name.
city and your date of birth along with your direct phone number for
our essay communication

The email was sent from the email address "Barclays Bank <surrogatecourt01@gmail.com>", with the Reply-to address "bbank2724@gmail.com" and the subject "NOTIFICATIONS FROM BARCLAYS BANK".

The email is a classic example of an Advance Fee Fraud Scam with promises of a large sum of money being transferred to the victim. Anyone responding to it will be told that there is a fee/tax/insurance payment to be paid to receive the money. This will be followed by payment after payment until the victim runs out of money or realises that they are being scammed.
